The Pillar Hat Pattern

Since starting a small business selling my knitwear items, I often don't have a lot of time to make things for my family anymore. I believe it was last winter when my husband asked me to make him a hat - in grey. Those were his only requests. So this past December I sat down and designed "The Pillar Hat".

I chose the name for the pattern for two reasons. One reason was simply for the pillar like look the ribbing provides on the body of the hat. However, since this hat was made for my husband, I choose this name as it is a great way to describe him. He is the "Pillar of Strength" in our family. For him, family comes first, I come first, and everything he chooses to do is done through the filter of "What is best for my family?". With some of the trials and struggles our family has seen, this man never wavers. He is my strength and encourager when life gets tough. I mean, I knew I loved him when we got married, but being married to him just gets sweeter and sweeter each year. Okay, enough of the mushy stuff.

I hope you enjoy making this hat and I would love to see your progress and finished photos on social media with the hashtag #pillarhat and tagging me @stitchedbysarahs. Thank you so much for your support in purchasing my pattern. It means the world to me!
